During our Master Mind conference call this morning we noticed how all four of us were pretty much in the same place mentally, emotionally and spiritually. We all live in completely different states from each other and although we met under the “Life Coaching” umbrella in 2001, we have all gone off in different directions personally and professionally. Yet, here we all were this morning all experiencing the feeling of our individual atoms and molecules dispersing apart as we attempt to assimilate change. One of our members is feeling the pain of relapsing into a degenerative disease, and three of us are having to really figure out how to pinch pennies and at the same time open up our minds and hearts for creative avenues for earning money doing what we love to do. Only this time it is about looking at the realistic ways that our passions are a good fit. Half way into our phone call it became very apparent that the four of us are only one small microcosm of the whole of humanity and yet we know that a vast majority of people right now are in the midst of change.
Many of the articles that I enjoy reading or listening to from the every day stories on National Public Radio http://www.npr.org/ to specialized sites like Karen Bishop’s http://www.emergingearthangels.com/, talk about the massive spiritual and psychological changes that humanity is undergoing at this time. On the one hand to think of all of us in this together is heartening but on the other hand there is a desire for everything to go back to the way it was? Normal? In illusion? Ignorant of how are actions are impacting each other? Maybe change isn’t such a bad thing.
What our little clover of a Master Mind group is going to do to help each other in the midst of these changing times is to use all of the wisdom and knowledge we have learned and collected over the ages to help each other. After a decade of talking intimately about our thoughts, beliefs and feelings, we know each other well enough to really “know” each other and help each other navigate the path of our heart’s desire. I hope that during this time there will be more groups of people that will come together to help each other remember that we are not alone and that we do not have to do this life alone. For any introverts out there, I’m not talking about the kind of alone where it is you and the peace that passes all understanding. I’m talking about the kind of alone where you really need the help of somebody else but aren’t used to reaching up and grabbing hold of a helping hand.
There are all kinds of ways to connect, to give back and to receive. Now is the time for us to be willing to do it during the midst of change.
