Fact #10101 about getting older. If you pay attention and make your best effort to be conscious of your actions and thoughts, you will notice synchronicity happening more and more in your life. That’s just one of the good facts about getting older that you don’t hear much about, so you can save this to bring out again when/if you’re overcome with negative info about aging.

Take today for instance. Met with Brian Kurth who is CEO of Brian Kurth + Company as well as VocationVacations and a group of friends, mentors, vocationers for a coffee klutch meet and greet this morning. Brian hales from Portland, Oregon but through his visits to Austin has noticed how synchronistic Austin seems to be. I’ve always thought that about us Austinites as well but I had assumed it was because I’ve lived here since 1980 so how could it not be so unless I’d lived under a rock!

Met several interesting people who shall remain nameless until I know that they’d like to be talked about to everyone and their neighbor in my blogs. Suffice it to say, there were people I connected to because they had the same career as I did (Career/Life Coach) and one gal even had 15 years of prior recruiting experience like I did. Two people had a blog talk radio show like I do, in fact I plan to invite them to come on and talk about what they are doing to help others in their career endeavors. There was another gal who had left a top executive job a few years ago from a very well-known corporation and is now having the time of her life as an entrepreneur coach and helping companies transition from being a “club” to stepping into being an actual corporation.

I also met a person who came from a background of politics and public relations who I immediately wanted to know. She has quite a story that I can’t disclose to you at this time but suffice it to say there was lots of synchronicity. Finally, had a lovely conversation with Brian’s partner and found out that his work involves public policy for a non-profit that Duncan Campbell started in Oregon to help children get a leg up in life. I’ve blogged about a book I’d been reading/studying with my master mind group called “A Million Miles in a Thousand Years” by Donald Miller. Well, Duncan Campbell is a person that Donald met and was influenced by who he writes about in his book. Stay tuned, I plan to interview both Duncan and Donald on my BTR Hope42Day show later this year.

What I’m realizing about synchronicity is that the more you are who you are, the more people will be attracted to who you are and the more circles you will find yourself pulled into. And the more circles you find yourself pulled into, the more synchronicity you’re going to experience.

Today when we went around our table to do a brief introduction of everyone, I was so impressed by who all these people were and what they did for others in the world. I noticed that I was getting a bit uncomfortable as the intros moved closer and closer to me because for the past several months, I’ve been in the process of “becoming”. I know that I am still a coach, but I’m discovering that I’m pretty picky about who I want to coach. I enjoy coaching those people who come to the table with the passion and eagerness to move through where they are currently to where they want to be. I also know that I want to get out there more and more through writing, speaking and the web/radio to inspire and help people. And then there is, of course, the fact that I am in school once again.

Well, what came out of my mouth when it was my turn to introduce myself was some kind of a conglomerate of all that I just shared AND I admitted that I was moving more into accepting the part about who I am that I am intuitive and spiritual and relish bringing both of those aspects into my coaching and speaking or whatever it is that I do to help others. Now folks, I don’t know about you but admitting that in the business world of my past was just about verboten! That and it is not something I would put out on my shingle for just anyone. I was very surprised to have heard from at least three or four of the people afterwards that they knew exactly what I was talking about and also had this same quality in themselves.

Who knew!!!

Who knows where all of this will take me but I wanted to share this with you so that you could think about how and where you could show up more being you and then see what kind of synchronicity takes place.

I get the feeling that synchronicity isn’t attracted to smooth talking, plaid wearing, shallow surfing fakers unless of course that is who they really are and who they want to attract….
