1.) Well we certainly know that what makes the very best you is NOT what you do for a living. Even if what you do for a living is really wonderful and helps many people it still is not what makes the very best you…so let’s keep looking;

2.) If you have children even if they’re the very best children that have ever hit the planet, that still does not make you the very best you, but they are one clue to a part of the very best you;

3.) You know I’m going to have to throw in to this mix that your friends don’t make the very best you. Yes, they are great to have and you wouldn’t have really good friends unless the best of you was shining through but your friends still don’t make the very best  you…so let’s keep digging;

4.) It goes without saying that if you have a home, even an extraordinary home in the most primo location that would make Architectural Digest magazine salivate, it still does not make up the very best you;

5.) Have to throw the car in here as well.  The vehicle you drive around in definitely does not make the very best you;

6.) DItto on clothes and all things material, definitely not what makes the very best you;

7.) So what does make the very best “You”?  Let’s start with your warm heart.  That heart that can shine past a grumpy face, that heart that knows the difference between empathy, compassion and sympathy and when the best times are for each. Your warm heart definitely is part of what makes the very best you;

8.) The ability to rise above really crappy things that happen to you in your life and to remember that you’re a spirit having a human experience, that’s definitely a big piece of what makes the very best of you;

9.) The ability to have faith in the unseen power that spins all the planets into orbit and spins the Earth just right so that every morning we can feel the sun on our face and every night the moon guides the ocean to lap upon the beach, that faith is another big part of what makes the very best of you;

10.) But what makes the very best of you is the ability to love all kinds of people, places, nature and things from loving the shining red and black dotted Lady Bug when she lights upon your hand for a breather to the extraordinary sunset that rips across the sky at day’s end.  That kind of love that makes the very best of you is able to forgive someone when every corpuscle in your being wants to fight to the death.  That kind of love that makes the very best of you is able to “see” and accept the bigger picture of love even when the total understanding of it is out of your reach. You still love on anyway.  That is what makes the very best of you.
